adventure time was and still is a huge inspiration to me, and is probably the sole reason why I am where I am today. since the finale aired yesterday, I’ve realized how huge of an impact it had on me – it’s why I wanted to work in animation in the first place. it was my first fandom, where I met my first online friends, and where I learned to draw aka fanart (if you’ve stuck around long enough… you remember lmao). and…! marceline/princess bubblegum were pretty much my driving force while growing up, as a lgbt kid in a weird area. I remember running back home to watch episodes, then desperately analyzing their relationship on tumblr for hours afterwards. it wasnt much, but it was enough for me to cling to.
thanks adventure time, for making my childhood! for being a place where I sought solace through school and life! from age 12 to currently at 19… you can still make me cry
