i’m back for the sake of halloween blogging but i might disable anon soon, or maybe i’ll just be more selective with the ones that i answer. i feel like the general attitude on this site is really anti civility and willingness to educate people and it’s starting to rub off on me and make me lash out at others simply for not understanding things in the same way that i do. i want to change that.

i really hope that that anon added the whole “don’t worry about answering if you don’t want to, i love your blog” thing as a sign of common courtesy rather than a legitimate indication of passivity regarding my opinion on transmisogyny. i appreciate compliments as much as the next guy, but i really don’t want to be admired by people who would continue to admire me even if i hated trans women, because that’s not loyalty, it’s just ignorance. if someone you like inevitably shows you that they’re lacking in basic human compassion, it’s your job to push your personal feelings aside and stand up to them anyway.

i hit like 2.5k the other day and now that my follower count is slightly higher i notice that people keep getting angry at me when they have to unfollow because they “didn’t know i believed [insert something totally reasonable]” as if i purposely misled them instead of just being too lazy to type out a 50-page byf. also this blog is basically for manga rants and disorganized aesthetic so i don’t really give a fuck if my followers disagree with me on something dumb like ace discourse or who should be able to reclaim the d slur. whatever though i had a 40 minute free period and i love to give the people what they want so here’s an overview of my potentially controversial opinions, if you happen to be one of those people who never wants to interact with someone who has a different stance on tumblr gender politics than you. i also added to my rbf that i don’t want swerfs following me because apparently that’s something i need to tell people.

“ace exclusionism” is honestly a very weak and misleading term that does not properly represent the valid criticisms of asexuality and the larger mogai community that most people i’ve met seem to have. you can joke all you want about how you’re an aphobe and you want to kick all the mega-cringe aceys out of the community, but you’re just giving people justification to write off legitimate arguments against the split attraction model and other retrogressive ideologies that are being forced upon the LGBT community. i know we all love to kid around but sometimes if you really want people to see your side of the issue you have to actually… you know… be polite to them.
